Western Brook Pond
Western Brook Pond is located in Gros Morne National Park.It was formed after the melting of glaciers in ancient times. The glacier has long since disappeared, and the rapidly flowing glacier water waterfall once again pours the melted water into the lake, forming a special fjord. As the world's clearest freshwater lake, the ion content is too low to conduct electricity. The lake is 16 kilometers long and 165 meters deep, making it a habitat for Atlantic fish, Brook fish, and Arctic red spots, as well as a rare habitat for cliff chickens. Slowly drifting by boat, you can see the magnificent inland fjords carved by glaciers up close. The role of glaciers has carved out magnificent scenery, including coastal lowlands, glacier valleys, steep cliffs, and waterfalls splashed with flying pearls. There are many nameless small flowers by the lake, gently swaying in the breeze with the ripples of the lake surface.
