Torngat Mountains National Park
Torngat Mountains National Park, located in Labrador, Canada, was established in 2005 as the first national park in Labrador, covering 9,600 square kilometers, and is the largest national park in the Atlantic provinces of Canada, aiming to protect the wild flora and fauna of this region. Torngat, which means "spiritual land" in Inuit, has been the home of the Inuit and their ancestors for thousands of years, showing its importance to the Inuit. The park's pressed tent stone circle, reindeer stone fence and burial mounds tell the story of the ethnicity and culture of this sacred area over the millennia. When visiting this park, be sure to check out the George Plateau, a deep and narrow area created by the erosion of rivers over the years, and the Torngate Mountains, one of the most beautiful and longest stretches of mountains in eastern North America, which provide an excellent view of the George Plateau.
