Morning:Depart at 8:00 to Signal Hill, visiting for 1.5 hours;

 

This is the place where the world's first transatlantic wireless signal was received. It is also a great place to see the city of St. John's from the top. From Signal Hill, you can get a bird's eye view of St. John’s, with its expansive views, harbor sails, winding coastline, and colorful houses along the harbor.

Then we will visit the Cape Spear for 1 hour

 

Stretch your muscles on the easternmost hiking trail in North America, experience the morning breeze of the Atlantic Ocean blowing the dawn fog, and feel the temperature of every inch of the land with your feet. Visit the easternmost point Cape Spear, facing the turquoise Atlantic Ocean for photography. Dovekie, Great Cormorant and Thick-billed Murre also frequently come. Come here to enjoy the sea, meditate, seek peace and inspiration at the easternmost point of North America!

Lunch:Petty Harbour at your own expense;

 

Petty Harbour is a picturesque small fishing village with a history of over 400 years, rich in cod and snow crabs. Lunch at the most popular traditional seafood hotel for locals to taste Newfoundland's traditional and authentic seafood, lasting for 1 hour.

Here is the longest ocean mountain cableway in the Canadian region. Facing the vast Atlantic Ocean, overlooking the historic fishing village of Petty Harbour, shuttling in the free high altitude, soaring on the rugged and majestic Atlantic deep-sea coastline, feeling the sound of the wind in your ears, the accumulated pressure and troubles disappear without a trace!

Then we will head to La Manche Provincial Park, about 40 minutes by car, visiting 1.5 hours

 

Visit La Manche Provincial Park, commonly known as the Suspension Bridge Park. Through the lush and shaded mountain trails, one can reach the desolate ruins of La Manche - a small fishing village destroyed by a fierce tsunami in 1966. Walking through the swaying suspension bridge on the strait and along the cliff plank path, one can enjoy the magnificent bay view. The soul is strongly shaken unconsciously, penetrating the insignificance and eternity of life. Here, the soul can forget all the hardships and tiredness in this world!

Then return to the Water Street, where the guest will tour and have dinner on their own, at their own expense, and then take the guest back to the hotel.

 

You can enjoy local traditional cuisine and cuisine from around the world while strolling along the water street. The colorful Water Street is one of the oldest streets in North America and one of the main commercial streets of St. John's. This famous street showcases the trading patterns and architectural styles of European powers such as Britain, France, and the Netherlands in the 19th century.

Day 2 Castle Hill → Cape St. Mary's Ecological Reserve →  Bay Roberts & Brigus & Cupids

 

Depart at 8:00, drive to Cape St. Mary's Ecological Reserve, which takes about 2.5 hours. On the way, visit Castle Hill for 0.5 hour, and Cape St. Mary's Ecological Reserve for1.5 hours;

 

Visit Castle Hill, located in the ancient coastal town of Placentia. Castle Hill is a military defense site built by French colonizers in 1662 to protect their fishing interests in the area. Experience the French culture of Newfoundland through the rusty and mottled ruins of broken arms. Close your eyes, as if smelling the billowing smoke of the fishing ground like a battlefield 400 years ago! Interestingly, it is said that later on, the French never came here to visit this seemingly easy to defend and difficult to attack military fortress, but why did it make the French ashamed? The answer is waiting for you to reveal.

Cape St. Mary's Ecological Reserve, commonly known as Bird Island, is the largest seabird roosting and nesting site in North America. More than 70,000 large birds cover the entire island and surrounding cliff walls in white, and this wonderland-like cape is home to thousands of Puffin, Gannett, Common Murre, Thick-billed Murre, Black-legged Kittiwake, and Razorbill. legged Kittiwake, Razorbill, and Horned Lark.

 

Why is the Northern Pond Goose called the "amorous bird"?
