Day 1:

Day2:Water Street&George Street The Basilica  → Signal Hill  Cape Spear

 

Morning: Visit to Water Street& George Street -- the most iconic streets in St. John’s 

 

The colorful Water Street is one of the oldest streets in North America and one of the main commercial streets in St. John’s. This famous street shows the trading patterns and architectural styles of the 19th century, the British, French, Dutch and other European powers. George Street is the oldest and most densely populated bar street in North America. It is also one of the oldest and most densely populated bar streets in North America. In the 19th century, sailors, old captains, dancers gathered here, gradually formed a convention stronghold, until today, many, piracy and maritime trade terms are still retained and used here.

Then proceed to The Basilica ;

 

The Basilica is an ancient building, built in 1855, whose design marked a revival of classical architecture in North America. Inside the church, 65 unique stained glass windows illuminate the extraordinary beauty of the Italianate poly chromatic ceiling and gold-leafed lighted areas. On the anniversary of its dedication, Pope Pius VII named it The Basilica.

Lunch: The Rooms Cafe-- It also serves up an awe-inspiring view of the city, the harbour and the narrows. ;

 

Head to Signal Hill after lunch;

 

This is the place where the world's first transatlantic wireless signal was received. It is also a great place to see the city of St. John's from the top. From Signal Hill, you can get a bird's eye view of St. John’s, with its expansive views, harbor sails, winding coastline, and colorful houses along the harbor.

Next visit Cape Spear.

 

Stretch your muscles on the easternmost hiking trail in North America, experience the morning breeze of the Atlantic Ocean blowing the dawn fog, and feel the temperature of every inch of the land with your feet. Visit the easternmost point Cape Spear, facing the turquoise Atlantic Ocean for photography. Dovekie, Great Cormorant and Thick-billed Murre also frequently come. There are the oldest lighthouses, gun emplacements and ammunition depots, as well as the weathered ruins of old Fort Spear. Come here to enjoy the sea, meditate, seek peace and inspiration at the easternmost point of North America!

Day 3:  Bay Roberts & Brigus & Cupids → Bonavista 

 

Morning: three distinctive Newfoundland towns: Bay Roberts, Brigus, and Cupids;

 

Visit the distinctive towns of Newfoundland, Bay Roberts, Brigus, and Cupids, and experience the oldest British Colonial. Each town will be visited for an average of 1 hour.

Optional tour: Hawthorne Cottage.

 

Hawthorne Cottage was built in 1830 to commemorate the glorious life of Captain Robert Barrett, Canada's most famous Arctic explorer. The winding path here seems to be a time tunnel that leads back 200 years. Look, isn't that Captain Barrett, and what stories are being told on the lawn? The story of 200 years of the cottage and the seafaring spirit of exploration and pioneering is waiting for you to explore!

 

 

 

Lunch: American fast food;

 

 

 

Afternoon:Drive to the small town of Bonavista to visit the Ryan Premises National Historic Site;

 

Bonavista is not like other Newfoundland towns built along steep bays, it is built on the open plains. It has long made a living from primitive sea fishing, lobster and snow crab. It is also the place where Venetian explorer Cabot first discovered the landing of mainland Newfoundland, a place where the sky truly feels the limit.

 

The Canada National Park has established a historical memorial at Bonavista, Ryan Premises, to preserve the commercial fishing boom of the time.

Stay at The Harbour Quarters Inn or equivalent.

 

Day 4 Bonavista → Grand Falls-Windsor

 

After breakfast: visit the tranquil and beautiful town of Bonavista where Cabot landed and discovered Newfoundland.

Afternoon: Drive to Grand Falls - Windsor, approximately 4 hours by car;

 

 

 

Accommodation:Riverfront Chalets or equivalent.

 

 

 

Day 5: Free time

 

Full day free at leisure. Optional activities: mountain biking, rafting, treasure hunting, hiking.

 

 

Day 6: Gros Morne National Park

 

Morning:Head to Gros Morne National Park;

This place has not only become a national park reserve in Canada for a long time, but also an important and unique Earth heritage recognized by the United Nations. The terrain and landforms of Gromona perfectly illustrate the role of continental drift and glacier movement in the formation of the Earth's surface. The coastal lowlands, alpine meadows, freshwater fjords, glacier canyons, cliffs, streams and waterfalls, ancient lakes - the diverse and beautiful scenery here is fascinating, and the fact that the huge rocks exposed on the surface formed billions of years ago is even more shocking.

Day 7:Gros Morne National Park

 

Morning:Take a boat trip to the Western Brook Pond;

 

Take a boat trip to the Western Brook Pond - this is an ice eroded high gorge lake famous for its cliffs that reach hundreds of meters high on both sides, as well as the flowing spring waterfalls. The lake water is quite pure, and due to a lack of necessary substances, the water here is not conductive!

Afternoon:The TableLands;

 

In the afternoon, visit The Tablelands in the park to explore Martian rocks. This is one of the few places in the world where the mantle can be seen, and the long crustal movement has squeezed it out of the ground. It is a ochre colored area with no vegetation, making it the only area on Earth with the same topography as Mars. NASA also has its own research laboratory here, using it as a simulation site for Mars.

Day 8:Port Au Choix → Sir Richards Squires Memorial Provincial Park 

 

After breakfast, visit Port Au Choix;

 

Port Au Choix is located on the western side of the Great North Peninsula in Newfoundland, where people have lived for thousands of years, but the surrounding environment has not changed much for thousands of years. There is a rich legacy of ancient culture here, and the underground limestone geology also preserves many prehistoric artifacts, providing important clues for uncovering the veil of indigenous peoples in this corner of the world. In this secluded paradise far from the hustle and bustle, the culture and spirit that have accumulated over thousands of years have been passed down through generations.

Afternoon:Visit Sir Richards Squires Memorial Provincial Park and witness the graceful behavior of Atlantic salmon jumping onto waterfalls to migrate and lay eggs;

Day 9:L'Anse aux Meadows

L'Anseaux Meadows is a settlement site of the Viking people in the 11th century. It is currently the earliest known European colonial archaeological site in North America and has been certified by UNESCO and listed on the World Heritage List. Here, you can stroll through the history of the deceased Vikings and immerse yourself in the misty grass houses. This journey will truly showcase ancient handicrafts buried on the surface of the earth and reveal the daily lives of the Vikings in the tenth century. Understand the construction methods of ships and houses, sit around the raging campfire, and listen to the ancient legendary stories of how resilient men and women set sail towards the Forbidden Sea and searched for the New World thousands of years ago under the same starry sky.

Day 10:Appreciating Iceberg and Whales

Take a boat out to watch icebergs and whales, and experience the beauty of nature up close (the activity depends on the month)!

The structure and wood material of this hotel are produced in the same batch as the Titanic. And made by the same designer and craftsman. Meanwhile, Prince Charles and Duchess of Cornwall Camilla stayed here during their official visit to Canada in 2009 during their stayin St. John’s, the capital of Newfoundland.
