Hiking Trekking
Hiking in the wilderness, enjoying the gift of nature! Experience the meaning of life as it moves from body to soul!
In Newfoundland, your mind, body and soul are sure to be nourished as you bask in the magic of nature. There are 29,000 kilometers of pristine coastline dotted with sandy beaches, sea stacks and more than 200 hiking trails, including historic trails between long-abandoned fishing villages. Newfoundland is known for its many unique coastal trails. Long ago, in the days before cars, people on the coast had to walk or boat if they wanted to get to other villages, so the result was Newfoundland's endless coastal trails! Alternatively, you can choose from town trails, wilderness trails, or provincial or national park trails. The trails vary in difficulty, from half-hour walks to days or even days of backpacking, to suit your needs. Along the way, you'll see countless seabirds, thousands of whales, and thousands of icebergs. Here, you're in touch with nature and embraced in untouched wilderness, so be sure to keep an eye out for moose and northern songbirds.
